What is P.L.U.R.? Well the acts of p.l.u.r. have been around since the dawn of time unfortunately in the rave world the definitions have been misplace For me it is about the peace to which you should give to others and expect in return. The love you should have twords your fellow man reguardless to his/her qualities. The unity we should have is needed to fight the stress and disfunctions of the world around us. Partying was meant to give us an outlet to let go and be free to have fun. Go to a party on the weekend and let loose, dress creative, dance your ass off. The respect comes for your fellow man and yourself equally. Respect your neighbors and treat them as you would wish to be treated. But also respect yourself. Know the substances which you put in your body, if you chose to use any. We cannot stress enough how partying was meant for expressing yourself please go to party's with open minds and leave with a mind that is more open. The world as we know it is tough. If Martin Luther King, JR. could have a dream well so can I. Fortunately for me I have several. The one I need help on is keeping our culture strong and existing. I constantly fear the vibe is dying similar to the 70's Disco vibe. When I think of disco I think, yesterday. I want Raves to be forever not just gen-x terminology for the 90's vibe. The music I love will not be commercialized by dumb and demeaning commercials twenty years down the road. They shall be as prosperous in the future as they are in the present and were in the past. To do this we must keep an open mind. Do not go to a party because it is the only thing happening on a particual weekend, go because the D.J.'s are phenominal and you feel like dancing. Go because you had a lousy week and failed a test or didn't get that promotion. Go because you got an A or the promotion went through. Go to at least one party straight-edge, see what it's like, belive me it's just as awesome without the chemicals. Get involved in your scene. Tell promoters who you would like to see or how much you can afford to spend. Unfortunately high quality D.J.'s have a high price, well go for the good local D.J. not just the expensive European one. If you would like to see anyone special, if you have a good venue in mind, or would like to promote speak up. (you can e-mail me, I am constantly searching for idea's). Party for the right reasons. Reserve your weekends for fun but don't trip up your life with them. Partying isn't everything, (or is it??:) Tell society who you are don't let them prejudge you. Hey don't forget to dress for the occasion. I was at a Halloween party (Boo 3) and I saw maybe a dozen people dressed for the occasion. I want to see silver and pink and orange and red and everyother color in the spectrum, not just Mr. Laurens horse everywhere. Here's a hint. Salvation ARMY, cheap and exiting.
